We, the undersigned, are calling upon Grinding Gear Games (GGG) to take action regarding blatant violations of the Terms of Service (ToS) for Path of Exile by Elon Musk. This matter is of critical importance, as it not only undermines the integrity of the game but also sets a dangerous precedent if left unaddressed.

Elon Musk is alleged to have violated multiple sections of the ToS outlined on GGG’s website, including but not limited to:

1. Section 7.h. (Real Money Trading - RMT):
   The ToS expressly prohibits engaging in monetary transactions involving in-game services or items outside the confines of the game’s established systems. Known as Real Money Trading (RMT), this practice disrupts the fairness of gameplay, creates an uneven playing field, and goes against the spirit of the Path of Exile community. It has come to light that Elon Musk has likely engaged in RMT, compromising the integrity of the in-game economy.
2. Section 16 (Confidentiality of Passwords - Account Sharing):
   This section clearly states that users are responsible for keeping their accounts secure and forbids account sharing. Reports suggest that Elon Musk has knowingly engaged in account sharing, which not only breaches this rule but also poses security risks and undermines the game’s competitive standards.

These rules are clearly laid out in GGG’s Terms of Service, which apply to both Path of Exile and Path of Exile 2 as explicitly stated in Section 1. Allowing such actions to go unpunished, particularly when committed by a high-profile individual, risks eroding trust in GGG’s ability to enforce its own policies.

Why This Matters:
Path of Exile thrives on its dedicated player base, who expect a fair, competitive, and rule-abiding environment. Violations of the ToS—especially involving RMT and account sharing—threaten the balance and spirit of the game. Failing to hold all players, regardless of status or notoriety, to the same standards undermines the fairness and integrity that GGG has worked tirelessly to maintain.

We urge Grinding Gear Games to:

1. Investigate these claims thoroughly and transparently.
2. Take appropriate action in accordance with the ToS, ensuring accountability and fairness for all players.
3. Reaffirm GGG’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of the game by enforcing rules without exception.
