Germany has recently outlawed circumcision on baby boys for non-medical reasons and I firmly believe that the UK should follow suit. This petition represents those of us who believe that pandering to religion to allow the mutilation of babies should be a thing of the past. Further to this, it is NOT difficult to wash an uncircumcised penis and the "benefits" of doing so at the infant stage are outweighed by the fact that no-one should be allowed to alter a peron's body permenantly without them being able to consent. We do not have anything against circumcision for medical reasons. We just wish to see an end to the practice as a matter of course. the law should not support it.
