This petition is to remove the age restriction up to 18 years old. There are bullies everywhere, but this is getting out of hand with children bullying and abusing older people and adults. The app is not safe for children. We have pedophiles and creeps on this app because they know that younger children are on here and can easily be manipulated into sending photos or going to meet up with someone they have never met. We want children to be safe but TikTok is not that safe place. People are now being able to communicate better with others around them, TikTok has become and allowed people to find others and become friends and family. Things have gotten out of hand with the younger generation by bullying others and adults and lowering others self-esteem, threatening, harassing and knowing they are able to get away with saying whatever they desire because TikTok protects children that way. I and others believe it is best to move the age restriction up. If you agree sign this and share this, if you do not agree that is fine.

I honestly did not think this would gain this much steam but here we are and it feels so wild to see so many people agreeing that the platform needs to change for safety reasons. It makes me think about all the kids and the adults getting harassed daily while the app just lets it happen without a second thought because they prioritize their user base over actual human protection.

I do not think that you have to be 18 to use this app. But it would br great if the app had age restrictions on certain audios to use and to be able to follow some tik tokers. Minors need their own place in tik tok.
I agree or at least have an age filter so that if they are under 18 they can’t see anyone’s whose over 18+ only 17 and under.
I really dislike seeing my friends and other get bullied on tiktok I myself was and it’s not right
Place an age restriction of 18+ on TikTok to prevent kidnappings, bullying and harassment.
My fiancee is getting spammed and bullied about her appearance by morons that are half her age and she already has a low enough self esteem as it is. Something better be done about this because I am not going to stand for it. She's just trying to have fun and they're ruining her whole experience. The right to speak freely doesn't mean harassing people to their breaking points.
I agree for the reasons cited that TikTok is no place for 17 and below people, no matter how "adult" they think they are.
