Set a mandatory minimum age of 18 for unsupervised smartphone use. Give kids basic phones instead, and protect them from harmful content.

Phone ban can be stupid for multiple reasons, when a fire or a shooting kids will need the call their parents, and some kids need to use their phone for heart or health monitor. I just think we should be able to use phones when we are done with our work or during non-educational times

Cell phones are a distraction. I'm paying for schools and therefore I don't feel that kids should have cell phones anywhere on school grounds.
