Parliament Hill Ottawa is a highly honorable place where laws are made for the betterment of Canadians and all of humanity. Policies and laws are enacted at this place. Canadians look at our parliament for best of times and policies.
It is very sad to see that Bhangrha is being allowed and encouraged in the premises of our Parliament building.Bhangrha is not representative of Sikhism at all. It is contrary to the teachings of Sikhism. Unfortunately, Bhangrha is being held on the premises of Parliament Hill by Sikh politicians in Ottawa.
On Vaisakhi day, there is recitation of the holy scripture Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji and just at the same time, dances start happening.
We request the government to stop Bhangrha at the Parliament as it hurts the sentiments of many citizens. While humanity suffers, politicians should not engage in merry making!

The massive surge in support proves that we are fed up with this blatant disrespect on Parliament Hill. Politicians keep turning sacred spaces into stages for their own vanity while ignoring their actual duty to the public. This momentum is a direct warning to the officials who think they can mock our values without consequences.

As a Canadian Taxpayer I don't want my tax dollars to pay for "Dancetime" for Politicians while they are working for me. Shameful.
I want this disrespectful activity to stop immediately as offensive to myself and d isrespectfull to what my parents grandparents and great great grandparents suffered and invested into this country

Bhangra is not at all included in sikh culture. Please stop this, being a baptized sikh no one is allowed to do all this .

I support thus petition which is meant to keep Sikh spiritual traditions unpoluted . By mixing idiotic Bhangra at spiritually serious gatherings, we are like cutting the same branch on which we are sitting: ਕਾਟੈ ਪੇਡੁ ਡਾਲ ਪਰਿ ਠਾਢੌ ਖਾਇ ਖਾਇ ਮੁਸਕਾਰੈ ॥
