Arif needs to go to hawza and study under pious scholars.

For those of you hiding behind the curtain under the facia of anonymous, shame on you!! For those of you calling Sheik Arif names, bad mouthing him, saying hurtful things, criticizing him, mocking him, unjustly accusing him of misleading youth and the likes; WHO are you to judge him when God Almighty Allah SWT himself has given him the right to freedom of speech just as He has you? How dare you speak when you yourself are no less of perfection. If you don’t like what he has to say or don’t understand his preaching to the choir, get out of the kitchen! It’s as simple as that! You don’t come here and belittle him because you cannot comprehend the English language. Who died and made you judge and jury to question his intellect and knowledge of Islamic jurisprudence? I suggest for those of you who are and will continue to be ignorant, stay put and keep your mouth shut! You have NO right to judge anyone, that right only belongs to Allah SWT and Allah only.

Please shut down his institute. He is misusing our Imams name for his institute & misguiding people against Imams. How can he do that? Why if he doesnt believe in our Imams & their teaching then why does he use our Imams names?

Wow... I've studied at one of the world's most reputable seminaries for 5 years, but I'd never heard any of his lectures until I saw this petition and it got me curious... I really want to thank whoever started this because you have probably changed my life forever... I've just heard 13 of his lectures in about 72 hours. Students of religions harbour a lot of criticism about our faith, but the seminaries teach us to switch off our questioning so that we blindly accept the mashur (famous) opinions of past scholars ("they have studied for 40 years, who do you think you are to ask them why their teachings contradict the Qur'an and ethos of the Prophet"). No one is incentivised to speak up... if the student speaks up, he gets kicked out of hawza for being a trouble-maker. If the teacher/lecturer speaks up, he loses popularity and then can no longer pay his mortgage and accompany ziarat trips. If the mujtahid's entourage speak up, then their cut of khums is going to the next guy instead. And finally - even when the god-fearing and well meaning mujtahids themselves want to change their rulings, their hands are tied by the system and the uproar that it would cause if it went against the grain. I feel blessed that I found this petition and it lead me to him... I have been sorrowful for years at the state of our faith, but finally, with the likes of Shk Arif, I feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel. Best wishes to all of you... I know how hard it is to unshackle yourselves from years of brainwashing... but we only get this chance at life once... open your eyes my dear brothers and sisters.
