On October 15th, 2009 in Fort Collins, CO a boy named Falcon Heene had reportedly climbed into the balloon when it became untethered and launched. It was reported that an object, likely a box or basket, had detached from the balloon and fallen to the ground and that the boy wasn't in the balloon when it landed 12 miles northeast of Denver International Airport. A search was conducted for the boy and he was found hiding in a box in the attic above the garage in his house. The boy later stated in a live interview that "you said.. we did this for a show", adding weight to the speculation that the incident is a hoax and a publicity stunt. We feel that this family should have to face some type of charges for not only worrying the entire world for hours but for using state resources, as well as military resources.
