Allowing immigrants who have developed long criminal histories here in the Seattle area to have immunity from even scrutiny of their green cards defies federal law. Is MOB willing to pay damages to the future victims of the criminal immigrants who should long ago have been deported for their prior crimes, when these victims sue for the financial and emotional damage done via assault, theft, love -marriage fraud? These criminal immigrants were here to do this because this "sanctuary city" failed to protect its law-abiding citizens by reviewing the green cards when federal law mandated it. This leaves Seattle open to damages because of its false legal position regarding federal law

You keep proposing the same thing over and over - a "benign neglect" approach that simply allows our unhoused population to "camp" everywhere and anywhere. That is not a solution! Our homeless neighbors need mental health and drug treatment, permanent housing, and for their unsafe and illegal encampments to be cleaned up in a manner that is respectful to them and to their housed, Seattle neighbors.

I'm laying in bed listening to the "party" going on at Ballard Commons. Police sirens, drug dealers, addicts passed or vomiting, port-a-potty burnt to the ground. Is this really Ballard? Thanks, Mike O'Brien

Enough already. N. Seattle, please recall this person. He is the worst council person in nearly 30 years.

Stop enabling sick people with drug, alcohol and mental problems to live in filth and make this city unsafe for the citizens of Seattle, If you want to spend Seattle money, spend it on TREATMENT centers and MENTAL HEALTH programs. If your way worked, we wouldn't be in such a mess, try doing the right thing, not the "popular progressive" thing It appears as though Mike O'Brien only cares about getting votes and he's willing to let this city go down the drain to do it. I want him out and I want our beautiful city back!

He is not listening to the people who pay taxes nor to the people who live in the neighborhoods his projects impact.

He and Shwarma are complete embarrassments and don't have a clue how to run a world class city like Seattle.

Never has listened to or cared about the people that he represents. I've attended numerous neighborhood meetings where he nods and smiles and then goes and does what he wants.

We need a Councilmember who represents us and O'Brien appears useless in this regard. Just because we have to work for a living and can't attend the Council hearings does not mean we agree with what he does.
