The process of getting a new emoji added is much slower and more bureaucratic than I ever imagined. I am still keeping track of the feedback people send me and finding the right people to reach out to.

Seeing this momentum grow has been exhausting but truly validating. It is clear that I am not the only one who felt something was missing from our digital conversations.

I hope this baklava is a registered Turkish baklava right? because the Greeks learned baklava from the Turks
Every time I eat baklava I want to send a pic with the emoji but I cant. Bring it to iphone now.
Best dessert in the world and we don't even have a single icon for it on whatsapp. Ridiculous.

As a Turk myself I think this is very important. We got burrito emojis, pizza emojis, sushi emojis but no BAKLAVA EMOJI?! That’s unacceptable. Apple is for diversity, right? Well if so, than there should be a baklava emoji! PERIODT
