I had 2 refrigerators messed up In Salina Point Acklins and all My Meat, vegetables and seafood Got spoiled all due to burn Bpl wire that connects to My home!! Sick of bpl

Ii had over 50 hours of outages in August and my bill almost tripled over July. the general Bahamian public is being criminally taken advantage of. In a first world country there would be restitution. Why not here?

It’s impossible for current to be off sometimes twice a day, some days more than the 3 hours loud sharing. BPL needs to go wherever they came from. My light bill double for the months nobody was home, only 3 person live in my house, my fridge went bad on me, all my meat and vegetables spoil in fridge.

I sick and tired because I rely on power for my animals. Just as how they want their money at the end of the month we want our power. If you are going to have so many outages at least try to do something with these ridiculous bills.. or find another source of energy before I do

It has been cruel and unusual punishment with the repeated load shedding throughout New Providence this year. Without any documentation or corroboration, it is my unsubstantiated belief that the constant power outrages played a role in my aunt's demise. Ida Malover Inniss was a homebound Chronic leukemia patient who became unresponsive on August 10 after 2 consecutive days of load shedding in the Quarry Mission Road, Chippingham area. The power was off for approximately 5hrs on the 9th and subsequently 7hrs on August 10th. She was admitted to hospital on the 11th and pronounced dead on the 12th. Of course, the death certificate records complications from Leukemia. I am further convinced my microwave and electric hotplate were destroyed as a result of the outages.

My light is off for 4-6 hours, might bill is more expensive. There's no deduction from the hours I was with out power. It's not fair and now costly.
