I've been part of location teams for years. On many productions some of the locations gain good press and response bit the department is often overlooked and deserve to be recognised.

All the blood sweat, tears and let’s face it, we give the director and producers the amazing locations that can be the marrow of the film - come on BAFTA, ‘bout time!

I am fully in support to bring more awareness to the Location department in TV and Film. And for Location Managers to be recognised by BAFTA for all our hard work.

This would reflect industries in the US and Europe and a 'Locations Team' category would be a strong addition to craft Baftas.

One of the most creative departments in the industry. The location department is where all the technical and creatives make the magic happen, and it's over looked. Locations are the very first on location come the day and they balance creative requirements and logistical needs, a massively important department and the only department that works within "The real world" which also makes it one of the hardest and most stressful departments in the industry.

Yes for sure this is a good idea. It’s a responsible job that isn’t always straightforward …

The location Manger is one of the first HOD’S to start a show and normally one of the last to finish! We are integral to the success of any show.

As a long-standing Location Manager of over 40 years I would like to hope that the Locations department bring a huge creative element to productions. And therefore If we were recognised by BAFTA for that work it would be fantastic.
