My daughter was about your age and she had chickens too. She fed them and took care of them and sold the eggs to her teachers. It was a great way to learn responsibility and animal care. Denying you your chickens will do more harm than good and may change your perception of how government is meant to work for the people. I hope you can keep your chickens!! Here's a tip....go to your local radio and tv station and tell your story. And go to your local newspaper too!

Always in support of laying hens. Acreage shouldn’t determine if you can support hens. The condition and size of their pen, food they receive, water, love.... all much more important than the size of land someone home is on.

Well done! My children are raised on a farm and had chickens as well. Animals teach children about compassion, empathy and where their food comes from. This is one of the most important things for children to learn.
