On December 31 at 5:30 pm, a co-owner (not a board member), in front of other residents, made allegations of theft against Mike Bastien with respect to the belongings of recently deceased Maria Martin, as well as other allegations, and demanded his resignation.
Mike strenuously denied these allegations and refused to resign. The co-owner then brought in Patricia Cory, president of the board of directors who summarily informed Mike, in front of the other residents, that he was immediately under suspension and demanded his keys. He was not given any opportunity to explain himself.
Subsequently, four board members of the co-ownership, Patricia Cory, Steve Kishewich, Donald Lynch and Tina McCullough confirmed Mike
I am truly overwhelmed by the momentum this has gained and I never imagined so many people would care about what happened to Mike. It is clear that you all see the injustice in this situation as much as I do. This energy belongs entirely to you.

Total power trip by the board. You cant just fire a guy in front of everyone without hearing his side first. Total BS.

This is so unfair. Mike has always been helpful and kind to everyone here. He deserves better than this public humiliation.

The board needs to be held accountable for how they treated him. Shameful behavior.

Where is the due process?? They just decided his fate without letting him speak. DISGUSTING.
