Unbelievable that we have planned an entire event around all of the family attending graduation and this is what comes our today. I am completely appalled that a University could change the venue this late in the year. I can not imagine putting the choice of just 5 guest on your students 3 months prior to graduation. I believe that next year prior to school starting would be a much better option to make this the new protocol.

Move graduation to the Blue like you advertised it as being one of the perks for people to attend your college. If you don’t that is faults advertising. The BBB and Attorney General should be contacted. Everyone should get their money back. Short notice and thousands of dollars that all the graduates have spent at your college is obviously not important to you. This should be budgeted every year when budgets are being prepared, it isn’t a surprise that you will have students graduating. If you can accommodate and change things for football, you can for graduation to accommodate the guest of the graduates. Games are not cancelled or moved because of bad weather and people still go out to support the players . Just like bad weather on graduation, family will still go out and support the graduates. It is also, very rude putting this on your website and not sending out an email to the students. Some family members have already spent money to come to Boise to celebrate this milestone with their loved ones. Stop making excuses and think of the ones this will affect. The Blue the accommodation everyone!

I’ve watched my granddaughter work so hard just to get to go to Boise State and then spend four years studying and working hard. I’m so proud of her. To miss her graduation because of ticket restrictions would break my heart. My daughter already made non refundable hotel reservations. I can’t imagine you would do this to your students and family

Moving the location as well as decreasing the number of guests is greatly unfair to graduates and their families. Many people have already made flight or hotel reservations long ago and are traveling at great lengths to support their graduate. Changing these details at last minute with no announcement is uncalled for and these changes should not be implemented given the timing.
