I am actually shaking because the district finally agreed to go back full time and honestly I never thought we would get here after all those long months of hybrid mess. It feels surreal knowing the kids are heading back into their actual classrooms soon and I just want to …

Pleasant Hill r3 school district needs to go back full time face to face. Our children need to get back to a normal, they need school, teachers are overworked. Being that we are on a hybrid model and some kids go am and some pm we are forced as a community to place our kids in Daycare’s and homes with kids from all age groups. They are also placed on busses to and from school.

We have grandparents trying to help with studies in ways they nor most of us were taught. I am here as a parent to teach my children right from wrong, good manners, good sportsmanship, good citizenship. Not common core math and writing.

I believe keeping a class together all day is safer than the before daycare options. Serve lunch in class, have all extra classes in the same classroom. Wear masks, wash hands, learn they way they are supposed to.

A school board meeting is Oct 20th I would like to have as many signatures as possible by then. If you live in Pleasant Hill, pay school tax or have a student please consider signing.

Our community has been playing Baseball, Softball, volleyball, soccer and football we are ready to go back to school full time.

I was looking at the sports fields yesterday and honestly it just makes no sense that we are out there playing games but still trapped in this weird split schedule for actual learning. My kitchen table is honestly a disaster zone of papers and half-finished math problems and I know I am not the only one drowning in this frustration right now so thank you for sticking with me while we push for a real classroom environment again.

I’ve been told by more than one person our SI and assistant SI both think parents are fine with the hybrid model because their phones and emails aren’t blowing up from parents wanting their kids to go back full time. Our voices need to be heard by way of email and phone calls along with this petition. Pressure must be applied if we are to advocate for our kids.

We should be in school full time! These kids are getting way more exposure going to school and daycares both. As working parents we are also having to spend Atleast double on daycare expenses. Switching from only before and after school to full time for 2 children is like a house payment. These kids don’t learn well from a chrome book. Why do pediatricians suggest kids should be in school all day?! They are doctors and think kids should be in school! No reason to have these 1/2 day schedules!

My grandson and granddaughters sisters have been doing amazing in a classroom! Being at home they were struggling without the help of teachers and peers! They wear a mask daily and don’t mind because it is worth it!

I am about to lose my job and our healthcare because I have no childcare and am homeschooling my child. The children need to have some social skills and that is impossible only attending 3 hrs a day

I’m in full support of the R3 school district moving to full day, in person classes district wide. The current structure is failing to meet the needs of my children. I’m confident that administration, teachers and support staff will continue their superior efforts to keep our children and citizens safe during this pandemic, and can do so with full school days.

Woke up this morning to a text from my straight A student. Who keeps failing test and all she can think about is her stupid grades. These kids are so overwhelmed by the work load, she said I have about three mental breakdowns a week. As a Funeral Director myself I am concerned for the mental health of the students and teaches. It is time to go back to full-time.

My own son has stated that he’s ready for all day in school. The hybrid model is difficult for and on him. It’s probably that way for other students as well.
