They need to be back in school. You people are supposed to be educated. Then act like it. The stats tell us it’s safe.

Kids need to be back in school and learning! Remote learning has proven to not be as effective as in person and learning hands on. Kids are much less susceptible of getting COVID-19. This is ridiculous that parents do not have a say in whether their kids attend in person or choose remote learning.

Enough is enough. Our kids need to be in the classrooms and we as parents need them to be there. We cannot continue to live our lives in fear.

Come on...Returning to school teaches our children to overcome adversity, not run and hide from problems. St Joe High School is more than adequately prepared to have in-person learning while social distancing. Our principal has allowed for those instructors who are not interested in teaching in-person to make their independent, personal choice. Additionally, principal Kennedy has been actively engaged striving to hire those instructors willing to educate our student body in-person. There is no more threat of contracting COVID in the school than there is shopping at Martins for groceries, eating dinner at restaurants, shopping for randoms at Walmart, Target or any manufacturing facility that is back in operation! Our parents and grandparents have been educated and have had time to practice social distancing from young adults. Our school had 45% of its students consistently not ‘check in’ last semester for e-learning. There are high levels of depression setting in for young rising Seniors who are being robbed of their entire Senior Year. Where is the consideration for our students and why aren’t they not being heard? Our students minds, bodies and souls need to be cared for. The students NEED each other, NOW, more than ever! If a student or a student’s family member is considered HIGH RISK; they need to be accountable for their own health. It is not the educational system that needs to shut down. We are not in quarantine. These “high risk” families need to step up and be responsible for their own health. We have rightfully been given the freedom to make a choice that best suits our family’s needs. It would be a mistake to take that choice away from the St Joe families.

Send the kids to school! And have a plan in place for all these measures to be phased out and resume something normal.

Please keep our schools open. Our children need in person education in a place of faith. It makes no sense to close schools when just about everything else in our communities is open.

If so I will pull my son and place him online in SB. Not paying 8K for online.

Keeping schools closed, or settling for “e-learning”, will result in school closures and will have unjust distributional and generational effects.

We have supported Catholic Schools even when we didn’t have the funds to support. Now support our CHOICE to send our kids to school. Everyone deserves to have the choice to go.
