It is bad enough that these kids don't get a bus.. Now you take away their safety...Give me a break

I grew up on Tooker Ave and was a back door walker my entire time at Forest Ave Elementary- the horseshoe is an institution among Forest Ave alumni- leave our horseshoe alone- put a teacher or administrator at the back door for 20 mins of arrival and dismissal and problem is solved - kids have used that entrance for years without an issue

Grand parent of Back door walker. This is not convenient for the the kids or the people that are responsible for the care of the kids. Their have always beeb very responsible teachers that do a wonderful job releasing the kids in a secure manner.

I don't have a child using this bus but I have been in a similar situation and my kids bus stop was changed. Anything to help a friend in need. Xoxo Bri

For those students who do not get school buses safety for the students come first by entering the back entrance . The front of the school is a safety issue due to cars and no sidewalks

I agree with put one more security guard in the back. Our taxes are high enough that we should be able to afford it! Problem solved...

Baywood has no sidewalk. It is unsafe for kids to walk that way to school when the weather is nice, when there is snow on the ground it will incredibly unsafe. There is not enough parking in the front to accommodate the extra c ars and now the kids will have to navigate around a lot more traffic and buses.

It seems reasonable to keep the back door walker area active for the walkers. Simply place an additional security guard there for 20 minutes and the problem is solved .

The security and safety of the children should be the most important not what's convenient for the principal or the school. Those streets have no sidewalks and are to narrow. The students will be forced to walk in the street under these new rules.
