good luck with petition, same happened to my sister, her partner died in a car accident 2wks before her daughter was born, it was a long hard battle but we eventually got the dna test done with my nieces grandfather and eventually had his name added to the birth certificate in due course. It's terrible family's suffer such ordeals my sister & her partner had planned to marry and were in the midst of buying a house when he was taken from us, he died never meeting his daughter but boy does she take after him, good luck hope your voices are heard x
