The policy shift has been officially confirmed and our demand for early intervention is finally being met. It has been a long and exhausting road to get here but your presence kept this moving when things looked bleak. We need to stay vigilant to ensure these new standards are actually …

YES, I want to join the Mental Health America #B4Stage4 movement.
Reaching one thousand signatures has been a heavy and important realization. I am exhausted by how long it takes to move the needle on this issue, but seeing that there are this many people who refuse to accept the current system keeps me moving forward.

Being afraid to call 911 for help when our mentally ill loved one loses touch with reality & knowing they will be arrested & jailed instead of medical care leaves her & her family living in fear for her safety. And we call ourselves a humane society?

Early detection and early intervention for mental illness, like breast cancer, prostate cancer, and other life threatening diseases will save lives. If my physician can check my prostate size every year, why isn't she checking my mental health?

It is too bad that a persons mental health can only be helped by their ability to pay. I have been fighting to receive help for many years and have two insurance plans and still cannot find the appropriate help because of the cost. We need your support!

do something. anything. save lives now. tomorrow may be too late. that we people receiving public community mental health services are dying in droves (average age of 52 y.o.) and typically 25 years ahead of that person who receives private mental health is dire. it is shameful.

I want to help any way I can. My daughter is 26 and has recently been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. There are NO facilities in the state of FL that will take her unless she is suicidal/homicidal or if she also has a drug or alcohol addiction. In the state!

I am a 30 year survivor. The stigma at times seemed worse than the actual disease. I keep on. I stand for early detection, progressive treatment and studies and understanding. We have a disease what is so hard to understand

So important to get Mental Illness recognized and treated as the genuine disease that it is!
