I am so very disappointed in this decision. I would never let my daughter pledge a sorority where she might be taking a shower or using the restroom next to a man, even if that man identifies as a woman. That would be foolish on the part of a parent to allow that. Identifying as the opposite of the way one was born is a popular topic and it is up to that person but a sorority full of thousands of women should also have the right to stay the same if we wish to do so. We should not be forced to change to accommodate the wishes of the few and change our entire history and tradition based on popular trend.

I do not feel that the ramifications of this decision were carefully considered. There are far reaching consequences for this decision that will hurt far more than will help. Psychological science is being favored over factual, biological science for political correctness. Psychology changes with the wind and will of the educated fools that torque it. Biology is concrete and indisputable. But the leadership at AXO apparently decided to fly their kites instead of use logic and reason. Not a Real. Strong. Stance. Very disappointed. A Pandora's Box has been opened, and many young collegiates will suffer for it, I fear. My legacy will NOT pledge AXO. So sad.
