There are always concrete steps that establishments can take in fostering a safe, enjoyable environment for their customers. It's low-hanging fruit! Fully support all such efforts and applaud all the organizations in Yangon taking part. Thanks, too, to the brave women who have come forward with their experiences to pave the path toward meaningful change.

We should be able to feel safe going out in Yangon! I hope that bars and nightclubs will ensure their security staff take sexual harassment seriously and that people who sexually harass others should be banned from that bar.

Full support of this petition! It´s very important to rise awareness for this widespread problem - not only in Yangon. Everybody should feel responsible if things like rape and other forms of psychological or physiological assaults - in general misuses of power where people could be injured - happen in our midst. We can´t close our eyes, we are all humans and should solidarise with the victims of these crimes and make perpetrators accountable for their actions and get them prosecuted! A peaceful and safe social environment is important to everybody in every society. If harassement happens to women, intervene instead of just watching or even look away. Make doers of such actions feel uncomfortable, mobilize other people to help and show courage. Women stand up and break the silence about the things happen on stage and also behind the scenes, share your experiences and build alliances!
