In 2006 an agreement was made and approved by the NHL that if the Stanley Cup is not awarded in any year by the NHL due to the league not operating it may be awarded to a Non-NHL Team. The NHL calims a "lost" season due to a lockout/strike does not count and will not award the cup to any team if this current season is lost. If the NHL season is cancelled due to a work stoppage we the fans sign this petition to have the Stanley Cup be awarded to the best Amateur Hockey Team in Canada in 2013 and all players of that team have their name engraved as is tradition with the award.
