I traveled from NJ to participate in the event for such a great cause. The host - Triangle Char and Bar - made my experience exceptional! It also brings many people to the area to help support the local businesses. Keep the race in Avondale!!! I will come back :)

Please don't move this race! Avondale is a very unique and wonderful area. It is destinctive and quite different from other areas in West Ashley, and it give us pride to have this run here. I rub on the greenway often. Why would I pay money to participate in something I can already do every day. There would be nothing special about that. If this race were to be moved to the greenway, I would probably not participate again. It it were to be moved any further west of the Ashley, I would definitely not participate.

This is a very important race and it should be allowed to stay where it's namesake comes from. It has been a valuable contributor to the city as well as the members of the community. Moving it would be a disservice.

All good things that draw attention to the Charles Webb Center are worth fighting for. This is a worthwhile event, I enjoy the neighborhood support. The green way may save the city some inconsistencies, but it will cost the participants and the beneficiaries. Please keep the run in Avondale.

Avondale is the perfect place for a 5k and my favorite of all in Charleston. I participate every year. Where better than the heart of West Ashley? Please don't move it!

One of the great things about this race is the location. The Avondale community does so much for this race and the Charles Webb Center. Having it anywhere would not have the same effect. Please keep this 5K in Avondale!!!

I love Byrnes Downs and have had a house there for nearly two decades but that doesn't mean I want to take over another neighborhood's race, especially if they don't want to give it up!! Leave this thing alone! Let that neighborhood have what's always been theirs and stop trying to meddle in stuff! Sheesh Charleston... There's so much more to concentrate on.....

The local running community identifies this race with Avondale; moving it to a different part of West Ashley would severely harm the marketing and recognition for years

The folks in Avondale have worked long & hard to make this race as successful as it is. People enjoy the race b/c of the community & b/c it is a road race, not a straight shot down a greenway.
