No need for election…

निवडणुकीमुळे उर्जा निर्माण झाली आहे हे जरी खरं असलं तरी माझ्या मते ही उर्जा, प्रयत्न सध्या फक्त निवडणुक - प्रचार, प्रसार आणि मोर्चेबांधणी यावर खर्च होते आहे. तसेच ती मोजक्या ३०- ३५ लोकांपुरती मर्यादित आहे जे ह्या निवडणुकीच्या आजुबाजुला, मागे किंवा रिंगणात आहेत. मराठी समाजातल्या बहुतांश लोकांना त्यात काही देणंघेणं नाही. त्यांना फक्त दर्जेदार कार्यक्रम आणि समाजउपयोगी गोष्टींमधे रस/ आवड असते. सुरवात खेळीमेळी मधे झाली असली तरी उत्तरोत्तर ह्याचं स्वरुप बदलत आहे जे समाजाकरता आणि एकमेकांमधल्या मैत्रीपुर्ण संबंधांकरता पोषक नाही. संविधानामधे निवडणुकीचं प्रयोजन आहे म्हणुन ती झालीचं पाहिजे/ घडवुन आणलिच पाहिजे हे माझ्या मते योग्य नाही. निवडणुकीमधे होणारा संघर्ष, खर्च, मतांचं होणारं ध्रुवीकरण टाळणं आवश्यक आहे असं मला वाटतं.

Let us not divide the community. Let's work together for the betterment of this great vibrant community and continue this amazing legacy to the next generation.

I think President should be person who has worked consistently last few years without break

Tradition of many years to choose the president from the sunsetting committee avoids the divide. There is no reason for the election.

Let’s all work together for our community irrespective of who our volunteer leads are on the committee. Nominations for these volunteer positions were requested and should be addressed as per the constitution - which states that elections should be held when we have multiple nominees for a position. A copy of the constitution is on the mandal website. I would encourage everyone to read it. This should not cause a divide. On the contrary, we should feel fortunate that we have a robust pool of volunteers that want to step up and serve selflessly.

We are already seeing rift in community. Few folks are threatening others to vote for them.

Really no need of election. It’s a small amicable group.

Person who worked most in last few years in committee deserves to be the president. Unnecessary to waste money on elections

Let us not divide community

All we want is a greater and better marathi community, where everyone is together and trying hard to consider everyone else's feedback with same respect and interest.

Elections will divide the community and affect the harmony among society for long period of time. Avoid elections, make amends.

Elections will divide our beloved Marathi community and cause severe harm in years to come.

Election for such a small community is doing more harm.
