Employees should have a vote on the matter.

IT Services, Westlock, AB. We really should have a vote on whether to join or not

I do not support the unionization of our positions. There is no visible benefit to either the employees or the employer. The only party that stands to gain from this forced inclusion is the AUPE.

I would like the opportunity to vote whether our positions should be included in the union or not. I don't think this is an appropriate union for us to be part of either.

Not interested in a union. If forced into a union HSAA should be the union, not AUPE.

Not saying belonging to a union is a bad thing, but not having a choice in whether to join or not sure is.

I don't want to be forced into a union, I want the option.

Just want a chance to vote. 21+ years or services (all out of scope) and no chance to voice concerns.

I have been in IT for 14 years as an out of scope employee, what has changed now? I feel like I have been made bargaining chip without anyone asking me.

No discernible upsides to this for IT staff. Why should we have to pay to be represented by a union that nobody wants to be in?
