The board finally confirmed that Dr. Gaffey will remain our principal. I am drained from the months of fighting for this but relieved we reached the right result. Let us keep a close watch on the administration to ensure they respect this decision moving forward.

We, the undersigned, ask that--as soon as possible--the administration and board of education work together to rehire Dr. Gaffey for next school year as the Auburn High School principal. We believe that this is the best thing for all concerned at Auburn and our community."

Seeing the momentum build is a heavy relief after weeks of feeling ignored by the board. This support proves we are not alone in wanting Kye to stay at Auburn.

My son finally started liking school because of him. Dont ruin this for everyone.
The school board is totally out of touch!!
Dr. Gaffey is the only person who actually keeps order in those halls. If he leaves things will fall apart fast.
Ridiculous decision to let him go. He listens to the kids and he knows how to run a school. Bring him back immediately!
We need leadership like his at Auburn. He has done so much for the staff and students in such a short time. Please reconsider.
