I am the parent of an AU student and have heard some really disturbing stories about the food served at Alfred. At the same time I hear of other schools who have adapted to dietary changes and offer nutritious, fresh, and tasty foods for their students. It is time for Alfred to overhaul their dietary offerings. It would do much to enhance the reputation of the University.

AVI should have stuck with Lil'Alf and the buffet style food system they previously had, although some of that food also didn't taste very good, most of it was delicious. I felt comfortable going to Powell for my breakfast bowl of fruit loops in the morning before class. Now there are little to no cereal options except in Ade.

I am a parent of an AU student. I am most concerned about my daughter's health and nutrition. From what I hear from her and her friends, the AU food is so bad that it is frequently inedible. In addition, since Alfred is a small rural community there are not many alternatives. This leaves the students with very little choice to get a good meal. The AU food plan is my greatest disappointment in what has otherwise been a very positive experience for our daughter and our family.

This is ridiculous, students trying to get a good education and eating this!!! For the price they pay it should be the best food they ever put in their mouth!!

I got off the meal plan as soon as possible. By doing so, I was able to save money and eat much healthier. It's not right to force students to pay such a high price for such low quality.
Better food please!!!
