This is a sad situation that the CityParks organization is going this to one of the most helpful and thoughtful guys know. Shawn had everything to do with the expansion of #ATU by helping with workouts all the way to providing venues indoor and outdoor when I had nowhere else to go!! Shawn has implemented many programs at West Penn and South Side to help the community for people of all ages including #ATU!!! I am very unhappy about the decision that was made and more how CityParks went about doing it. It is very unprofessional and #ATU stands behind Shawn 1000%!!! Thank you for all your hard work Shawn!!!!

Pretty crazy how loyal a person can be to its employer but not the other way around. To be honest the city does not deserve Shawn. The kids and families he helps do need him. I just found out after speaking with a summer helper in my community that he and his mom both attend those fitness classes.

Shawn is a great guy who is always willing to help others. This obviously carries into his career as a police officer, as having first hand experience with working with him, I'd say he is the best person to showcased as a role model for others.

He told me about how he loves working w kids and people yes ago. It's a passion of his! Nobody would put as much into it as he does. He is an asset to the neighborhood. I have seen him promote this program to help enrich lives. They need more people like him. Ashame on anyone who thinks otherwise!

I've known Shawn for a very long time. I've also known him to be a very honest person, who has always operated in integrity. ATU is very real and Shawn has been a mainstay in Arlington and West Penn. To whom it may concern the city should be ashamed for treating an ambassador in the community in a manner such as this. Shawn we're behind you 100%

I met Shawn several years ago when my children played Soccer at Phillips & he was in charge of the Rec Center. I have watched him interact with the children & is very good with the . He also motivates the parents/adults. He introduced me to the South Side ATU and I meet with them twice a week for a fitness grou . He has inspired my whole family to get healthy! He is an asset to our community and I am happy to call him my friend. Erin M. O'Connor.
