It appears to me that the Governor has no legal jurisdiction to mandate closures of religious schools. I'm not sure he has much recourse if we were to ignore the mandate. https://ag.ky.gov/Priorities/Government-Transparency/opinions/Opinions%20New/OAG%2020-13.pdf

I am a grandparent of a Trinity student. It is my firm belief that children and young people need the structure and presence of their teachers to excell in the learning process. Lockdowns undermine social, emotional and mental health and produce levels of stress that compromise the immune system. We cannot allow it!

Not a Trinity parent, but a private school parent. We must stand our ground together!

Our grandchildren love the school and teachers. They need to be there. The gov cares only about taking power and taking our freedom. He has no 'science' to base his decision.

Trinity has done an excellent job of keeping students and all staff safe! My grandson goes there and I know what an impact it will have for him to be forced to at home learning. It’s ridiculous for the Governor to mandate the closing of a PRIVATE school! I trust with all my heart and soul that the adults that run Trinity can make the correct decision about our school. God Bless!

OF COURSE, Trinity should continue with in-person instruction. There is not a single documented case of student-to-teacher (or even student-to-student!) transmission. And even the "reporters" at the HL admitted that opening private schools has zero impact on "the surge." Beshear has ZERO jurisdiction over private schools and he MUST not be allowed to interfere with TCA operations. The AG's ruling was and is correct. This "mandate" from Beshear is a clear and obvious sop to the teachers' union bullies who got him elected, nothing more. He threw it on the wall knowing it would not stick, but it soothes the feathers of the KEA.

The damage to children at such formative years is irreversible. My grandkids were crying with the news last night. Frustrating!

Our children need the structure and influence of our schools. This can only be accomplished well through the in-person medium.

Students need in-person instruction for content to have depth.

I think the good far outweighs the bad for the kids to attend school in person.
