This show is amazing. It is a new amazing retake on the original Greek myths and it also has a gay couple which is brilliant. Series 2 has ended with a cliffhanger and is really annoying. When you end a show, you end it properly. Atlantis needs to carry on!

The sweet relationship between Icarus and Pythagoras; the exoddus to Colchis; the awkwardness between Jason & Ariadne; and Jason's forbidden bond with Medea. Please reconsider the cancellation of this series. As with many dramas the first series is a scene setting and introduction to the characters. The second series is where you build the drama and make something essential viewing. I feel this has been the case with Atlantis. The second series was amazing and really made you care for the developed characters. It is short sited to cancel a show that still managed to pull in good viewing figures despite confusing scheduling and being shown opposite ITV primetime hits. We need to see a series 3 at least!!

Only decent TV drama on TV. BBC want to create new titles for the average viewer but look no further than this. Invest it arrived and tested plot which pulls in the viewing number and tells a good story as supposed to a mind numbing reality tv program .

I am so very, very passionate about this show & having got the chance to meet most of the cast I feel like this show deserves a third series. I loved this series and would really like to see a third series, The cast were fantastic, the acting was brilliant and the scripts kept me on my toes trying to guess what would happen next. I certainly never saw Pasiphae's resurrection coming! I NEED to know how this will all end. Also, why are the viewers and the cast being punished for the BBC's mistake of screening the start of series 2 in the post-Christmas/pre-New Year period??

this programme has been fantastic. one of very few that we can sit and watch with our 9 year old daughter and all enjoy. we are all so disappointed that it's not being commissioned for a third series. but the worst part is that they clearly got this news too late as series two did not conclude. a real slap in the face for viewers and would make you think about whether to bother watching future new bbc series. why invest in something they will probably stop.

It's a disgrace for the bbc to do this. And what will replace it??dumbed down reality shows or Strictly? They've really lost the plot. Hopefully a more reliable channel, maybe Sky1 or even Netflix, will rescue it!!

Bring back atlantis - quality drama

Atlantis wasn't perfect in its first series, but it has improved greatly by the second - there's so much potential for the story to grow in new places and directions. The decision to axe the show BEFORE it even finished airing it's second series is a decision that makes little sense - The BBC should have waited to decide until the finale of series two, to see how both viewers and critics reacted. There is VERY high demand for the series to continue!

If as much advertising was given to this series, as with strictly, it would have had higher viewing figures. For us fans very disappointed that it has ended.

Taken me a while longer than most but I've just seen the last episode of season 2...then spent an hour online trying to figure out what happened to Episode 13...since no-body in their right might could leave a popular show there! I knew the series had been axed but surely the BBC must have delivered closure at the end...nope, not even slightly! I thought the decision to get everyone excited about it and then delay the final episodes of season 2 was a stupid decision but this one BBC - really does take the cake! This was a good show, with great characters and writing, and a big following. Once upon a time the BBC spent licence fees on what was popular. Now...well this year alone has seen the end of Top Gear (the BBC are kidding themselves if they think they can hang onto that worldwide audience) and now the end of Atlantis. Not sure what's going on at the Beeb in recent years but whoever's in charge of these things is pointing the channel directly at a big public switch off!

Just watched the last episode of Atlantis they cannot leave the ending like that. The second series has been brilliant I can't believe it has been cancelled. I am sick of tv networks cancelling really good exciting shows and leaving on rubbish and showing repeats all the time. Bring back Atlantis BBC it is just as good a show as Merlin was.

Hadn't realised after watching the last episod, that it would be the last. It was the only thing I watched on a saturday. It kept my interest. There should be another series,even just go finish off the Argo storyline.

Every time the BBC show a decent 'fantasy' show they axe it, as they also did with Sinbad and outcasts, to name but a few. They are more interested in providing for the masses than those licence payers with more discerning taste!

Atlantis is a brilliant show with a gripping, original storyline and amazing actors. We've absolutely GOT to bring it back for series 3, especially after series 2's breath-taking, cliff-hanger ending!

Atlantis is a wonderful fantasy tv show. While there are many looking for the next "Sci-fi" masterpiece, I feel that often times fantasy gets pushed aside. But that's what made this show and Merlin so appealing to watch for me. If I wanted a sci fi show, there certainly isn't a shortage--you just have to know where to look. But fantasy on the other hand is limited in numbers. I found this series late, and was so disappointed when I saw it was cancelled. Doctor Who fans are looking for the next comparable sci fi piece--what's wrong with myth and legend? What's wrong with a little magic?
