The asylum system in Ireland represents an unacceptable human and financial cost.

I promise to support a just, fair and efficient asylum system that protects the dignity and welfare of people who come to us seeking protection.  I pledge:

-          To address reform of the asylum system in the lifetime of the next government.

-          To stop asylum seekers being used as a means for private profit by ending Direct Provision.

-          To allow asylum seekers to live in dignity and in a manner that will support their integration into Irish society.

The massive surge in support proves the public is fed up with the government profiting off human misery. We are finally forcing the political establishment to look at the cruelty of Direct Provision and they can no longer hide from the truth.
