To the Honorable Barack Obama,

We the undersigned, respectfully request, that something be done to stop and eventually reverse the fleeing of Iraq's indigenous Assyrian population. Today there are only approximately two hundred thousand Assyrians left in Iraq. Furthermore, before the latest Iraqi War there were over one million Assyrians residing in Iraq. If nothing is done to resolve this issue, the Assyrians who have lived in Iraq for over four thousand years will become depleted from their motherland. This is against human, and indigenous peoples rights and should be condemned and fought against. The Assyrians need America's help just as the Assyrians have been helping America with their fight against terrorism. Now is the time for a Assyrian Homeland. A response would be greatly appreciated.
