Students should called to a higher purpose, rather than exposed to the false notion that high risk behavior has no life long consequences and normalize-it with common societal behavior. Another reason sever depression is skyrocketing with young adults.

In Roth v. United States, the U.S. Supreme Court held that obscenity was not constitutionally protected speech and described it as "utterly without redeeming social importance." They also noted that obscenity leads to antisocial conduct, degrades women, and produces a sexual, rather than mental, response and is a form of sexual communication rather than the expression of ideas.

As one who had to read obscene books in high school, I am very hopeful that this will get changed so my younger brothers will not have to endure it.

If we have a protection from R rated movies, students should also have a protection from obscene written materials.
Currently there is none.
This policy creates one using definitions passed by Obama, and upheld by the Supreme Court.
