Please help explain to Albany that educated, responsible gun owners are not committing heinous acts of violence. Before placing more rules and regulations on us look at the history of violent gun acts and see how many had taken hunter education, how many had taken a class in shooting safety etc. Lets hire more professionals to take down the illegal gun trade instead of making it harder for the law -abiding citizen to have fun in sport when shooting guns. Please think of us also. Thank you for youe time.

I am not opposed to the Bump Stock portion of this proposed legislation. I am strongly opposed to the Red Flag legislation

As a law enforcement officer in NYS, life long resident, and tax paying homeowner I find it disturbing that elected officials in this state give themselves huge pay raises so that they now make more money than most law enforcement officers do, who risk there lives. then pat themselves on the back for TRYING to make permanent a property tax cap. Taxes need to go down, not just limit increases or people will keep leaving this great state. Elected officials also are strangling people in this state with other laws, maybe NYC and other large cities need and want more "SENSIBLE " gun laws which has eluded the legislature, I wouldn't know or force it on them I don't live there, but the vast majority of areas in N.Y. do not want them. The legislature has in the past seen this dynamic, the minimum wage increases for example. If I could save and make enough money, I would sadly leave my home with my family, because living paycheck to paycheck in a state that takes it's citizens money and freedom and gives it to the rich elected officials, well apparently that's not illegal.
