Ask The News-Gazette to apologize for printing a racist ad!

How dare you post this. Are you racist NEWS GAZETTE? So I guess I won't be buying any more of your newspapers.

Mr. Agnor is entitled to his opinion, but I am disappointed in the paper for choosing to publish it.

Lexington native and I am appalled and disgusted the Gazette would allow such hatred. I guess they are desperate for ad money! I'm thinking of canceling my subscription.

This ad is uncalled for, and should have been treated as slander, not free speech. I am ashamed he lives in my hometown.

Seriously? I can't believe this would be printed. It makes your newspaper look really ignorant and incompetent. This ad doesn't even make sense and technically isn't advertising anything but ignorance and hate. Please don't print terrorist propaganda.

I live and work in Lexington, and I was shocked, saddened and embarrassed to see that add in the local paper.

Your running of this ad is a racist and inflammatory action, and harmful to the community. You need to apologize, and put whatever money you gained into a community organization that serves people of color.

In addition to an apology, the N-G should donate the ad revenue they gained from Mr. Agnor to an appropriate charity/organization that serves the black community.

This is disgusting and unconsionable.

I am a staunch believer in freedom of speech, but it seems clear to me that newspapers and other venues for civic expression must hold themselves--and failing that, be held by the public--to stringent ethical standards. We expect to find in our newspapers a reflection of the community, and we hope to find that reflection to be just and compassionate. I was very disappointed to learn that with the publication of Mr. Agnor's advertisement, The News-Gazette failed to protect the dignity and respect to which each and every member of our community is entitled. I had planned, just earlier this week, to become a subscriber, but I cannot now do so in good conscience. I hope that you will address this issue, fully and transparently, as soon as possible.

I am unconcerned with ANYONE'S private opinion. But when a community newspaper accepts money to run a racist advertisement, while Black churches burn, Black individuals are killed during casual encounters with law enforcement, Black people are shot down in church during Bible study, and the Confederate flag is celebrated by the shooter of those people, THAT is not just in poor taste, it shows an extreme lack of judgment and irresponsibility on the part of the newspaper.

I work for a media company in the South and can't begin to think of a reason you would allow this to run.
