My wife and I regularly use one of more the Midcontinent Public Library branches, visiting a minimum of once a week. I believe this resource is essential to maintaining the intellectual health of our communities.

I visit the Mid-Continent Public Library to do family history research.as do many other out of state tourists. Having to reduce library hours affects the economy of a town and the tax dollars that visitors bring to a community. A cut in this funding is short sighted. Education and economic development are two basic issues that libraries support.

The public library provides much need services to disadvantaged citizens. They depend on our resources to function in today's increasingly technical world. Please don't add to the disadvantages these citizens already face.
