Mr. Nixon, if you did not have access to computers and other services that libraries are now able to offer, how effectively could you do your job? Libraries provide many vital services, especially to those trying to apply for employment and can only do so online but have no access to a computer.

State funding of libraries shows that we as Missourians value the concept of equal access to a variety of information sources. I would be happy to see an increase in funding beyond that which was cut.

As a teacher, I know how important literacy skills are to young students. Libraries support the development of reading skills, and are a great support to families as well.
