The local school district just misspent at the very least $25 million. My local library runs four branches on $3 million. How much does the state give to schools exactly? Our local part of the state money isn't near these figures. I vote for the far and the just not candidates who run on easy subjects like "money for the school children" which you have, Gov. Nixon.

Libraries are beneficial toward the communitiesthey are located in. They are a vital part of the community and withholding funding from them is withholding funds from the community as a whole.

Our education system is broken enough, libraries serve as the most educational and imagination inspiring systems in the US today.

Libraries are incredibly important. This is a tiny amount compared to most budget items. Fund our libraries!

I support state funding of MidContinent Public Library. The services our library offers is important in bringing equal access to all whether it is computer access to books, to music to programming to life time learning.

Governor Nixon, Many of the libraries in Missouri serve lower socioeconomic constituents and their children. They also serve middle and upper class constituents. Without the continuing support of our state funds which were approved budget allocations, public libraries will become stagnant. We hear so much about "growing the economy". What about continuing to "help grow" the people of our fine state? The more information we can disemminate to our citizens, the more informed and intelligent they will grow. Please, Please release the allocated funds to our libraries and support the knowledge Missourians need. Thank you.

Reading aloud is a critical component of early childhood. Access to books through our libraries in important to our families and creates an environment that allows young children to reach their full potential. Funding for libraries means more kids ready for school and less money spent on k-12 remediation.

If education is important to the governor then he willnot cut something so easy for our children to engage in. (reading!)
