As a teacher, I see the vital importance of education in the future of our state and country. Resources for education are already dangerously limited. Save the libraries!

Please do not do this. I have visited the same library weekly since I was born, and now I take my son there. It is one of my favorite places in the entire world. It's full of people every day -- people who rely on its services. Honestly, I finish college in six months, and I'd seriously consider moving out of Missouri to a state that values libraries if this budget goes through. I'm horrified.

The proposed library budget cut is appalling to say the least. The library was a safe place to explore interests and learn. Its frightening to think this is being taken away.

As a US citizen living in England, I bemoan the dumbing down of my fellow Americans that a reduction of library funding represents. Please reinstitute their funds!

Libraries are such an integral part of the community. Look at all the amazing things that the Ferguson Library was doing for it's patrons while the schools were out of session due to the dangerous activity in the area. Taking away their funding is the last thing that should

Cutting library funding is only going to do long term harm to Missouri, and the nation. Harm that will take a generation to fix. What's going to happen to the kids who can't use the internet at home for homework? What about the adults who use the educational resources to get through school?
