Governor Nixon, spend an hour in any of your state's public libraries and you will not be able to ignore the important role that they play in the lives of Missourians of all ages and backgrounds. Quality of life for everyone in a community is improved by the free access to information provided by libraries. If you truly want to leave this state in better shape than you found it, don't make the mistake of denying crucial funding to these vital institutions.

Governor Nixon, spend an hour in any of your state's public libraries and you will not be able to ignore the important role that they play in the lives of Missourians of all ages and backgrounds. If the budget for Missouri Libraries is cut this low, many people will be without access to the information they need. Keep our population informed, literate, and empowered by properly funding libraries.

Libraries serve as community centers for diverse populations of people from many different backgrounds. It's extremely important that libraries in Missouri continue to receive their funding so that those diverse communities can continue to grow and better themselves and others.
