Taking away access to knowledge is little different from undermining the future potential of our youth and the intellectual well being of our financially underprivileged who, without libraries, may be unable to access literature and the services libraries provide at all.

Awesome job, MO governor office on taking funds away from something that helps shape better communities and people. I hope they change their mind.

Had I not had access to the public library during the summers when I was in elementary school, I would never have picked up an interest in Shakespeare & earned a university degree in Theatre.

Libraries are crucial to the education of our young people. The reading programs foster children's love for reading, and to take funding away from these is unacceptable.

Libraries are an important part of any informed and educated civilization. One wonders why Governor Nixon does not seem to consider them important.

Don't attempt to dumb down society because you are too stupid to lead responsibly and govern within your means.
