Libraries are communities' windows to the rest of the world. They are critical to the understanding of one's place in the world and potential to effect change within it. My family relies on two library systems (KC and Mid Continent Public Libraries) for our education, not only because we homeschool, but also with supplemental community programs. Do the right thing and fund MO's libraries as you promised, Governor Nixon.

Throughout human history we have seen that knowledge is power. A library is the most powerful building in any city. It can transport you to anywhere you want to go, fictional or real, and feeds the minds of both young and old. Please give our public libraries what they deserve and have earned.
