I am bed bound and watch a lot of Netflix. I hate the bad language that Hollywood puts into their movies and subject us to. I support people's rights to speech, but what about my rights. Sometimes I wish I could watch a movie without hearing so much filthy language.

I don't understand why Netflix won't just allow people to use the TV Guardian with their website. Netflix gets payed either way, they should allow individual customers to make those decisions about profanity on their own televisions. I've been a customer of Netflix for years, ever since the old days when they were DVD only. But now it's to the point that I will take the first service that allows my TV Guardian access to CC. I would like that to be Netflix but I am open to switching services. I am tired of not being able to watch good movies because they are full of F-Bombs. Get with the program Netflix, many of your customers want this and you'll end up with many more if you implement this.

For some reason, Hollywood seems to think everyone wants their movies and TV shows laden to the brim with garbage - and that's saying something coming from me, a guy barely in his twenties. One of the most overused things is profanity, which thankfully a good profanity-filtering device will take care of. Unfortunately, in this age of digital streaming, services like Netflix, Google Play, and Amazon Instant Video are being utilized more and more over traditional media such as DVD's and Blu-ray discs. The problem with this is that people like me and my family, who enjoy quality programming without all the countless expletives that are inevitably included, can't utilize profanity filtering, no thanks to the streaming companies having all the say as to whether or not third-party devices can access closed captioning. This petition, if successful, would solve that problem. I don't have a problem with other people wanting their media laden with junk, but I for one want the option to filter it out. That's the reason why I'm signing this petition; I want options, and these companies aren't giving them to us.

We need our television shows to be without profanity and using God's name in vain. I'm sick to my stomach and so are others in this country. I say take your foul language and replace it with edifying words! My children and grandchildren don't need to be expose to this inappropriate language.
