Firstly, I am a citizen who believes every single animal deserves life, a healthy one. Secondly, I am a member of Team Mojo Wild Rescue board and an animal lover. Every animal with whom we share this planet are valuable and deserving of our best. They are not disposable.

Wildlife rehabilitatiors should NOT be limited to the species they treat unless mandated under federal law (like endangered species going to liscensed facilities). As chronic wasting disease is a prion, there is no true way to tell outside a necropsy report and the herd should not have to suffer due to your fears.

I know members of the Blackhawk Wildlife Rehab group and they are the most dedicated folks. Their knowledge of wildlife and what it takes to help an ill or injured bird or animal is amazing. Please work with them, it's in Iowa's best interest. Thank you!

Please listen and let certified wildlife rehabilitators (CWR) continue to do their awesome work. Instead of a ridiculous and just plain cruel moratorium, why not help educate CWR to better recognize the signs of this disease to BETTER do their job and continue their mission.
