Please consider our oath as physicians to first do no harm, including our most vulnerable patients, the unborn and the ones nearing the end of life. I will not be continuing membership with the AAFP if it supports abortion or physician assisted suicide.

I fully disagree with the AAFP plans to endorse elective terminations as an organization. It conflicts with the Osteopathic Oath I took when I entered the medical profession and conflicts with my personal beliefs.

Life begins at fertilization when the egg and sperm unite, becoming one cell. This cannot result in a horse, cow, or dog, but only a human being and in rare cares a teratoma or some variation. This is absolutely pathetic that the American Academy of Family Physicians, who pride themselves on taking care of people from womb to tomb, are advocating for the death of our patients, the unborn child. Please use your brain and hearts in realizing that just because the unborn do not voices that their lives still matter and are in the least living persons.
