I am a medical student still looking into specialties and considering Family Medicine and being a member of AAFP. I support this petition on medical and moral grounds and the sanctity of physicians and patients. Thank you for reading the petition in its entirety and carefully considering the implications and and detrimental impact that supporting abortion would have on individuals and the common good of the community at large. Thank you for your time and willingness to uphold fundamental values and virtues of our chosen profession by choosing life.

I'm appalled that the AAFP increasing refuses to acknowledge the sanctity of life for all family members especially those of the unborn. I do not feel I will be able to associate much longer with such a radical shift in ideology. I hope that the AAFP will reconsider what it means to be a family physician and respect the dignity of human life at all stages.

I am a newly graduated resident, member of the AAFP, and a new faculty member for a residency program. It is discouraging to me as a new physician that the AAFP is not supporting conscience protection for its members and protection of the lives of some of our most vulnerable patients. I will not be supporting the AAFP or continuing my membership should this trend persist.
