I am sure that most of you southern California residence and many of you from across the country have heard of the recent "North" fire on the Cajon Pass near Victorville this past Friday.

Many motorist were stranded on the freeway and forced to evacuate their vehciles and run to save their lives leaving vehciles unoccupied on the freeway. While people were recovering from the shock and deviation, a local towing company was called to the scene to assist and get the freeway opened up. Gonzalez Tow of Victorville arrived on scene and began to tow many victims vehicles off the road.

Gonzalez Tow is now holding vehciles ransom charging people thousands of dollars to get their vehicles back. Instead of rushing to the aid of a community in need, Gonzalez Tow has decided to capitalize on the victims in an act that they should be ashamed of.

I am starting this petition to ask that American Automobile Association, "AAA", remove Gonzalez Tow from their approved company list immediatly. AAA should not be associated with companies that are blatant thieves and should distance themselves for the good of their customer base.

I don't think it's right at all when they had no choice but to leave there cars because they were told to & then charge them to get them back. They had no where to go. The Cajan Pass in a trap if there is an accident or fire.. People need to do the right thing..

I just read about this last night and I was horrified that people were charged when they had no choice but to flee. As a AAA member, I hope this company is removed from the agency's list.

I'm a business owner and AAA member. I understand trying to keep your doors open but I don't think that it is morally or ethically right to take advantage of this desperate situation!
