Greenbriar’s winter sing program is tasteful, culturally balanced, and the kids love it. The performance of “snow pants” in kindergarten followed by a repeat in 5th grade is a nostalgic thrill for the departing 5th graders.

My daughter never knew that she won't be able to participant in the Winter Sing anymore, this is something she had been looking forward every year during the holiday time...Isn't tradition a big part of growing up?

Stop the nonsense of “excluding” the kindergarten & 5th grade classes from such a big “school” event! Makes no sense!!

My daughter is in 5th grade. When she was in K it was announced that this next song will be performed again at their fifth grade winter sing. Personally, I felt emotional picturing my little kindergardener standing in front of me singing the same song again 5 years later as a culmination of her elementary years at such a special school tradition (Winter Sing). Now not only do I not get that moment, the fifth graders are left out of the tradition of Winter Sing. No need to re-invent the wheel.

My daughter sang in the last year of the Snow pants song. I would like to have her sing in the 5th grade one as well for the video. I think it's unfair that she won't be able to see how much she's grown before she leaves for Junior High. It's an important tradition for the students first and foremost and the parents too.
