September 2 2015 will mark 70 years on since Japan officially surrendered and ended WWII. This, along with August 15th that marked the end of Japan's colonial rule of the Korean Peninsula, is an important date for Asia's 'comfort women' as it marks the end of the hardship and suffering imposed onto them by the Japanese military during WWII.
However, those that have campaigned for justice and acknowledgement from Japanese authorities for the atrocities inflicted upon Asia's 'comfort women' (most of whom have already passed away) have not seen justice yet, and this anniversary highlights the lost hope for these women in getting that justice and having their dignity returned to them.

No impunity for war crimes and grave violations of human rights - Japan needs to formally apologize towards the victims and realize crimes, document crimes e.g. in school books and face past for a better future with 100% freedom from violence against women in war and peace times.
