She deserves to teach her craft of pottery. I wanna learn how to make some from her.

The arts are a gift to the community.

If Waxahachie wants to be seen as a city that supports the arts, it needs to use common sense about the requirements for those arts! Please look beyond policy and use your hearts and your heads.

This would be a wonderful addition to Waxahachie in general. She has years of experience teaching all ages. To be able to have her own studio and gallery would a life goal completed.

Most of the other residents in this neighborhood have shops. The only difference is that this is a prefab building instead of a site built shop. There is no reason in the code that this type of building should be excluded. There is no plumbing, so it cannot be used as a living space, She plans to use it as a craft space exclusively .

I know this potter personally. She is responsible and considerate of neighbors and will be an asset to the community.

We are losing small studios like this every year. Soon all that will be left is generic mass produced stuff unless we stand up & let the artists exist.

Give Ashely her studio space she’s an amazing hard working artist and deserves it

Ashley is wanting to make a living doing what she does. If her studio is up to code, then why fuss about it?

There's no downside to having a studio on her own property. The policy that prevents it should be amended.
